Community Guidelines
Last updated October 14, 2026
Same Here works when people can be honest without being cruel. Anonymous doesn’t mean consequence-free.
Do
- Share real thoughts, feelings and opinions.
- Disagree with ideas — that’s what Nah is for.
Don’t
- Harass, bully, or target anyone — including people you know in real life.
- Post hate speech or attack people for who they are.
- Threaten violence or encourage anyone to hurt themselves or others.
- Share personal information: names with identifying details, phone numbers, addresses, emails, or photos of documents.
- Post sexual content, or anything sexual involving minors (reported to authorities).
- Spam, advertise, or post the same thing over and over.
- Impersonate others or try to unmask anonymous users.
Reporting
Use ••• on any post to hide it, report it, or block its author. Reports are anonymous, and a post you hide or report disappears from your feed right away. Posts that get several reports are hidden for everyone until reviewed.
Posts are screened automatically. Slurs, threats and personal information are blocked before they are posted. Threats of violence are reviewed and may be reported to law enforcement.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. If you’re struggling, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US). For anything else: support@samehereapp.com.
Enforcement
Breaking these rules can lead to post removal, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban. Repeatedly trying to post blocked content pauses posting for a few minutes. Accounts whose posts keep getting hidden by reports are suspended automatically, for longer each time, and then banned.
